Hariyali Kebab Masala |
A day when my cook/domestic help was on leave my son asked,
what’s for dinner today Momma? Earlier on these days when I was in no position
to cook an elaborate meal I simply used to answer, ‘Home delivery’….and pick up
the phone to order something from outside. But this time I said ‘ Hariyali Kebab Masala’. Luckily had some stock of store bought kebab in the fridge.
Sonny was ecstatic!! Healthy and tasty, it pleases everyone at home to eat
homemade food rather than ordering anything from the market.
I usually use Venky’s or Green Chick’s kebabs which I find
tasty, soft and juicy. You can use any other brand that’s available in your
region.

What You Will Need:
- 500 gms Chicken hariyali kebab (processed)
- 1 red bell pepper chopped
- 1 green bell pepper chopped
- 1 yellow bell pepper chopped
- 2 large onions finely sliced
- 5-6 cloves of garlic chopped
- 2-3 green chillies chopped
- 1 tomato chopped
- 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- ½ tsp black pepper powder
- Chopped coriander leaves (optional) for garnishing
- Salt to taste
- Olive oil or white oil as per requirement
Process:
Step 1:
Heat a little oil in a non stick tawa/pan. Shallow fry the
kebabs on both sides and take them out.
Step 2:
Now add a little more oil and stir fry the onions and garlic
until golden. Add the chopped bell peppers and continue to sauté. Add the
chopped tomatoes. Keep stirring on medium flame.
Step 3:
Add the powder masalas and seasoning. Toss the ingredients
and cook for 2 minutes more.
Step 4:
Lower the flame and now add the kebabs. Sprinkle a little
water for the kebab to get moist and absorb the flavours. Gently stir the whole
thing for a minute or two. Your soft, moist, succulent hariyali kebab masasla is ready.
